Description of Activity / Trip :
A 1 week volunteer dental mission to Tena, Ecuador this April 2009. Dentist's, Hygienist's, Assistant's and non-dental professionals are needed. Treatment (restorative and prophylaxis )will be provided to the children and adults living in and around the city of Tena. It is more than likely that all patients will be children. Most of these children are in pain and have extensive decay. The clinic will be set up in a sheltered stadium. We are provided with equipment there, it is not fancy but it is enough to help these kids and to get the job done. We will arrive in Quito on a Sat and be ready to work in Tena by Monday. Work hours are from 9-4.
