About Me:
I am a friendly and ambitious university student seeking experience in nutrition, food science and research. Through my studies, I have developed a strong interest in nutrition, food science and diabetes management. My tertiary course and work experience have driven me to become passionate about educating others on the importance of healthy living, particularly in my areas of interest. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in dietetics and nutrition.

Skills: I am currently employed by Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as a Menu Assistant. This position has introduced me to clinical care in a hospital setting and has helped me to further identify the need for public health nutrition promotion in Western Australia. I have also carried some volunteer work experience at Balcatta Primary School (helping with their Breakfast Program), Mercy Hospital, St John of God Hospital and have also completed a professional placement position at King Edward Memorial Hospital. I am also volunteering in India later this year. Despite experience in health, other previous employment in the hospitality industry has allowed me to develop useful skills in communication and customer service. This industry has also encouraged me to become more adaptable to different individual needs (of both colleagues and customers) so that others see me as an approachable team member. I hope to combine all of these experiences in my future work.
