Volunteer Description:
Volunteers may stay in 1 government clinic or may rotate through various clinics throughout the country. Volunteers have to spend a minimum of 1 week in any one clinic but can transfer from clinic to clinic. Third and fourth year dental and medical students can do clinical work under the supervision of a dentist or physician. Teams are encouraged to apply.
Volunteering Locations: 1) Oguasu NGO
Located at Caaguazu, Paraguay, in the middle of the Oriental Region of the country. It is about 180km from Asunción, the Capital. Volunteers will be picked up from Silvio Petirossi International Airport to the Bus Station of Asuncion to take the bus to go to Caaguazu. (10$)

3. Warmer environment so mosquito nets will be needed; bring mosquito nets for long/short-term volunteering terms.

Note: As Paraguayan local regulations can change faster than Internet updates are made available, so please check the nearest Paraguayan Embassy in your home country.
Health personnel who are fully trained and qualified will be allowed by the Ministry of Health to offer free medical services in the country and will be given experts from the ministry of health to accompany them to the field/camp.
Volunteers can forward their qualification documents as we prepare for their coming into the country.

Fees:
In selected cases, Food, room and board and housekeeper will be provided at no charge for dentists and physicians and in some cases other health professionals no matter what length of time you commit to. However, HealthCare Volunteer must ask for this setup on a case-by-case basis, so please be prepared to pay your own living expenses.
Housing for volunteers: 12 $
Ground transportation: 1 $ per day per person
Food: 10,5 $ per day per person (Breakfast 2,5 $ - Lunch 4 $ - Dinner 4 $)
All volunteers are responsible for their flights and personal expenses.
