Intern, Health Systems Integration needed for

Opportunity Description:
The Intern, Health Systems Integration is responsible for supporting the Director in oversight and management of the daily operations within the Camino de Salud Network. The duties of the Intern include, but are not limited to, assuring that systems are developed and implemented to provide for coordination of primary care and specialty care health services. Additionally, the Intern will act as a liaison between public safety net facilities and the partnering private community clinics assist in grant writing and reporting, data analysis and monitoring. The Intern will report weekly progress to the Director. Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned.
The Intern will represent COPE Health Solutions and the Camino de Salud Network to other community agencies, government agencies, hospitals, etc. as needed and adheres to legal and organizational standards regarding confidentiality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the HSI team to accomplish the goals, objectives and strategic plan for the Network established in coordination with the Network Advisory Board.
2. Build and develop relationships with partner organizations to facilitate implementation and management of programmatic components to add clear value to our clients.
3. Develop, implement and maintain systems, including processes and procedures, to provide coordination of primary and specialty care health services.
4. Collect and report Network data, including the Balanced Scorecard and monthly Data Dashboards.
5. Assist in operational grant writing and reporting.
6. Represent the company at various public relations, business development and fundraising events.
7. Oversee specific projects, meeting with the Director to gain clear understanding of the projects and their goals and expected outcomes as well as maintain a timeline for the assigned projects.
8. Report weekly to the Director of the Camino de Salud Network.
9. Provide timely and appropriate feedback to managers and supervisors regarding internal project challenges and perceived external barriers.
10. Carry out other duties, tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
• B.A. or B.S. Degree
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Strong customer drive and dedication to quality and success.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well independently.
• Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Flexible with work hours, able to travel, and be able to work on evenings and weekends frequently.
• Strong acumen for the health care industry, analytical thinking skills and a strong and dedicated work ethic are required.
Technical Skills:
Extremely high level of proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Project Management) and experience with internet research.

Intern, Health Workforce Transformation needed for

Opportunity Description:
The Intern, Health Workforce Transformation is responsible for supporting the Executive Vice President, Health Workforce Transformation and helping build a strong pipeline for new client sites. The duties of the Intern include, but are not limited to, assisting with development of the Clinical Care Extender Program, the Health Professions Expansion Program and the Mentoring & Professional Development (MAP) Program at Barlow Respiratory Hospital. Additionally, the Intern will assist in grant writing, reporting, data analysis and monitoring. The Intern will report weekly progress to the Executive Vice President, Health Workforce Transformation.
The Intern will represent COPE Health Solutions to community agencies, government agencies, hospitals, etc. as needed and adheres to legal and organizational standards regarding confidentiality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with Health Workforce Transformation Managers to accomplish the goals, objectives and strategic plan set in place at client sites.
2. Assist with the implementation of Professional Education Program and the RN Re-Entry Program for Foreign Trained Nurses at new hospital sites.
3. Support development of the Clinical Care Extender Program by assisting with recruiting, training and managing records for the college, graduate and career transition interns interested in the program.
• The intern will help develop a sustainable strategy that will focus on long term growth and program diversity for the Clinical Care Extender Program.
4. Assist with the development of the Mentoring and Professional Development Program (MAP) by helping to:
• Identify potential preceptors for the program
• Develop MAP curriculum that serves the needs of the client site.
• Perform an evaluation of the MAP program.
5. Assist in the designing of the Heath Workforce Transformation Division SQL web-based database.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, for the systems in place to ensure knowledge is documented and shared among the COPE Health Solutions Team.
7. The intern will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Health Workforce Transformation and perform other duties, tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
• Candidate must have or be within their last year of pursuing a Bachelor’s or pursuing a Master’s degree.
• Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well independently
• Strong project management, communication, prioritization and feedback skills are critical to success.
• Have an understanding of the health care industry
