Would recommend it for anyone interested in providing healthcare to a much needed area! Posted Oct 27 2007 at 11:01 AM	Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information) Outer Island Clinics: Primary health care and dentistry, health education classes, child immunizations, plus training to upgrade skills and empower local health workers to better care for their people. Relief Ministry: Acquisition, packaging and shipping of needed medicines, supplies and equipment to hospitals and outer island dispensaries. Specialty Teams: Teams of specialists fly in to provide training, consultation and surgeries in hospitals where such services are unavailable. Specialties include ophthalmology, orthopedics, E.N.T., ob/gyn, and urology. Preventive Programs: Development and implementation of a diabetes reversal and lifestyle change program for the Marshall Islands, where more than half the adult population suffers from diabetes.
