Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
With four hospitals and numerous other facilities, Community Medical Centers has volunteer openings in many locations.

Our more than 700 volunteers range in age from 14 to 98 and include high school students, college interns, business professionals, retirees, empty nesters and others. Whether you are seeking practical work experience in a supportive setting or just want to reach out and help others, Community?s volunteer opportunities can meet your needs. Though no volunteer experience guarantees employment, volunteering will expose you to professional opportunities that exist in the health-care field. We do our best to match volunteers with areas that interest them most.

How do I go about volunteering?
To get started, all volunteers must complete a formal application and interview process prior to serving at Community. This can take 8-12 weeks. Applications are available at any of our three main hospitals, or you may print one from the file on our webpage

How old must I be to volunteer?
At least 14 years old. Volunteer applicants who are 14-17 years old require parental consent and two letters of reference from school officials or other adults who are not members of the applicants household.

What positions are available?
Many opportunities are available in our organization. As part of the interview process, we will help find the right fit for you. Areas commonly supported by adult volunteers include our information desks, surgery waiting rooms and gift shops. Additionally, Community Regional Medical Center typically needs adult volunteers to help in our trauma and critical care building and to fill lobby concierge positions. Junior volunteers generally float between a number of departments. Their assignments might include running errands, helping with patient discharges, assembling information packets, filing and making copies.

How many hours do volunteers spend at Community?
Individual schedules vary, but all volunteers must commit to volunteering a total of 50 hours to be considered for the application process.

What training does Community provide volunteers?
In addition to the experience gained by serving in the workplace, all volunteers complete a two-hour class to help orient them to their new role.
