Doctors Hospital is recognized for its services in orthopedics, neurosurgery, sports medicine, general surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and womens health. Its nationally recognized Sports Medicine program serves the Florida Marlins, and the Miami Heat, as well as collegiate teams from the University of Miami and Florida International University. The Miami neuroscience team at Doctors Hospital developed the first Gamma Knife program in the state of Florida. Since 1993, it has been a leader in neurological patient care serving patients from the United States and abroad.
