Our medical and non medical volunteers provide a vital service to those facing disaster, conflict, extreme poverty, chronic hardship and social exclusion. Doctors of the World also bear witness to the obstacles to healthcare and the human rights abuses they see, giving a voice to people whose stories should otherwise be unheard. We operate projects in 60 countries worldwide. We operate in both “developing” and “developed” countries across the globe. Currently, we are running more than projects in over 60 countries throughout Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe. In addition to the teams already working in Haiti in our long term development projects, we currently have 3 international emergency teams in the field. They consist of medical coordinators, logistical coordinators, emergency doctors, nurses, logisticians and surgical staff. Due to the difficult working conditions, we aim to replace the teams every 3-4 weeks. If you can fulfill the following criteria: - experience of working in difficult conditions in an emergency or post emergency project in one of the roles mentioned above - you can leave in February for 2-4 weeks - you are fluent in French (Creole is desirable but not essential) For coordinator roles, we require professionals with strong skills in managing team, security and projects, excellent representational and negotiating skills. Experience in budget management is desirable.
