Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Volunteers have been helping us build a healthy community since 1970. Our volunteers range from physicians, nurse practitioners and social service professionals, to students and community members. Through the generosity of giving their time, volunteers have brought their interests, areas of expertise and financial support to improve the quality of life for thousands of men, women and children.Over the last year, more than 350 Fan Free Clinic Volunteers: Served over 24,000 hours. Provided over 600,000 worth of services. Made a difference in the lives of more than 50,000 people. Assited more than 115 patients each week in the medical clinic. Helped us with special events where every 1 raised returned 4 in services to the community. Under the administration of FFC employees, the clinic is operated by compassionate and giving professional, student and community volunteers. The clinic is a unique training ground with hands-on experience for pre-med, medical and nursing students.FFC provides confidential HIV testing. We offer the new rapid HIV test that provides a result in 20 minutes. No more waiting This test requires a finger prick to obtain blood to complete the test. Only a very small amount of blood is required. We also offer the standard full blood test which has an approximate 2-week wait time for the result. You must return in person to receive your result. It is important to remember that all HIV tests still have a 6-month window period for the presence of HIV to be evident.Medical services, under the supervision of Fan Free Clinic staff, are provided by professional, student and community volunteers. All medical services are provided free of charge to those in need. A donation at the time of the service is greatly appreciated All services are by appointment only.
