Opportunity Description:
This position involves working with children and teens who have been touched by cancer. You may assist with activities such as Teen Nights, Noogiefest, Birthday Bash, or our Spring Fling. Other volunteer duties include setting up and cleaning up, registering members, moving furniture, helping to decorate the clubhouse, etc.

Opportunity Description:
This position involves travel. You can volunteer your time for the entire event, which may be 8 hours or you can split the shift. Duties may include manning booths at health fairs, conferences, or at educational seminars and dropping off calendars at hositals and Doctors offices.

Special and Social Event Volunteer needed for
Opportunity Description:
May include Joke Fests, Pot Luck Suppers, Movie Nights, fundraiser event, an Ask the Expert lecture, or other special workshops or conferences. Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the event. Event participation may last for up to 6 hours. Other volunteer duties include setting up and cleaning up, registering members, moving furniture, helping to decorate the clubhouse, etc.

Gilda’s Club South Florida is “cancer support for the whole family, the whole time.” It provides a meeting place where men, women, and children living with cancer, along with their families and friends, can join with others to build a personal network of emotional and social support as an integral part of their cancer treatment. Membership at Gilda’s Club is completely free of charge and open to all people living with all types of cancer.
