NOTE: Each week, the clinic holds a three hour clinic in which one or two dentists come down to oversee work being done by dental students. Typically a dentist will come once a month or once every two months. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 15 Find Out More Registered Dental Hygienist needed for One Day Opportunity Description: Licensed dental hygienist needed to provide preventative care to dental patients. Time and duration is up to you. NOTE: We currently have a dentist and dental hygienist on staff, but would love to have the extra help. Whether you can only commit to once a year, or once a week, the help is very much appreciated. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 4 Find Out More Registered Nurse needed for One Day Opportunity Description: Registered nurse needed to provide routine medical care to clinic patients. NOTE: We currently have two RNs and one LPN on staff, but could use the extra help, even if its only once a week. Many of our medical patients are seen weekly for lab draws and other chronic disease management. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 2 Find Out More Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information) Health for Friends serves a very specific clientele - the very low-income, uninsured Norman resident with no other resources for medical assistance. These are the homeless or working poor who cannot afford or are not provided with health insurance benefits and who do not qualify for government assistance. HFFs medically indigent patients have no other access to the preventative care and disease management that is necessary to lead productive and healthly lives.
