Opportunity Description: A compassionate, caring, dedicated individual who would enjoy visiting lonely patients facing their end-of-life journey. A Cool Companion can read books, play music, journal life history, hold hands, have conversation, bring special treats, decorate a patient's room, and help the patient live all the days of their life.Must be able to complete all application, background screenings, have TB skin Test and complete orientation.Sheduling is flexible but must be able to make at least 2 visits a month.

Opportunity Description: An individual or a group to read books, newspapers, letters, etc.. to a Senior Citizen or a patient with advance illness. Also, can form a book club at a Long Term Care Facility.Must be able to complete all application, background screenings, have TB skin Test and complete orientation.

Opportunity Description: An individual who will support families through their grief after the loss of a loved one. The mission of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to clients with a limited life expectancy, as well as, support to their caregvers.



The quality of life for those we serve is enhanced through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical,psychosocial, social and spiritual needs of fhe clients and caregivers.



Hospice care is provided by an interdisciplinary team utilizing an approach to the are delivered to clients either in their own home or extended care facility; working cooperatively with area health care providers and other community resources.



Heartland Hospice strives to provide care to all who are eligible and need hospice care irrespective of ability to pay.
