Volunteers play a very important role at JFK Medical Center by helping us to provide high quality, cost effective healthcare to the JFK Medical Center community. They do this a number of ways: Augmenting and expanding the services provided by our staff. Providing supplemental services, which contribute to patient care and satisfaction. Assisting non-patient care departments with clerical support. Helping to spread the word about the good things happening at JFK Medical Center within the community. JFK is extremely fortunate to have over four hundred dedicated volunteers that share their time and talent with the Medical Center. The Volunteer Department includes adult and teenage volunteers that work within the Medical Center and the JFK Medical Center Auxiliary. Together, they provide a valuable service to our patients, their families, visitors and the communities we serve. Volunteers are included in the Medical Centers activities and social events. In addition, the Volunteer Department has Volunteer of the Month celebrations, an annual Appreciation Luncheon, recognition for volunteer hours, activities and many other benefits.
