Recognized as one of the regions premier healthcare providers, areas of specialty include high- and low-risk obstetrics, orthopedics, neurosciences, cardiac care, and cancer care. Volunteers have been supporting the hospital in Concord since 1949 and to this day they remain a vital part of John Muir Medical Center, Concord Campuss tradition of service to the community. John Muir Medical Center Volunteers, Concord Campus provide a variety of essential services that enhance the lives of patients, visitors, physicians, and staff. In addition to their other good works, the volunteers operate the hospital gift shop, run a junior volunteer program, and sponsor annually a scholarship program for students.
