Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Fort Worth, Texas. Our volunteers offer emotional support and practical assistance to patients and families, providing reassurance or companionshop for patients and families, and always being an attentive and sympathetic listener. Ways to volunteer include direct patient socialization and family support, administrative in our offices, bereavement and general (errands, yard work, etc) support. Volunteers are an important link to the community as Lion Hospice ambassadors. Telling the story of hospice is a vital part of raising awareness of its ability to give families choices. As volunteers, you are an integral part of a team that works towards offering support, comfort, dignity and often, simply, the feeling of not being alone. If you are eighteen, wed love you to join our group of music, art, pet and gardening therapy volunteers. If you are not, an adult my attend the training class and make patient visits with you. I look forward to meeting you soon

There are no particular skills required, a caring heart is mandatory. There are some requirements, including a four hour training class. Contact us for particulars
