Current Volunteer Opportunities (Unpaid Positions)
Mentor a Child-Volunteer Mentor needed for
Opportunity Description: Once screened, trained and matched volunteer mentors become a part of the youth's therapeutic treatment team and work with the therapist to develop non-clinical interventions to help the child reach a treatment goal, become independent and self-sufficient. Mentors agree to spend a minimum of six months, 2-4 hours per week with the youth. The mentor will take the youth on outings into the community and expose them to new and different experiences as a way to expand the youth's world.

The Mental Health Association of Orange County-Project Together a program that is funded through the Mental Health Services Act (CA. Prop 63) is dedicated to provide a safe, ethical and professional mentor program for minor clients and their parents/caregivers that are receiving mental health treatment services through the County of Orange Health Care Agency-Children and Youth Services.
