Utilizing hospital ships, Mercy Ships delivers medical excellence with integrity and compassion to the worlds forgotten poor by mobilizing people and resources worldwide. Mercy Ships serves all people without regard for race, gender, or religion. Mercy Ships welcomes volunteers who would like to give of their time, efforts and expertise to the work of bringing hope and healing to the poor. Short-term volunteers can participate from two weeks up eight months with Mercy Ships, while others may choose to serve for one to two years or in a career capacity. (Each position on the ship has its own minimum time commitment.)
