Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The mission of the Bureau of Prisons and New York MCC is to protect society by confining offenders in the controlled environments of prisons and community based facilities that are safe, humane, cost-efficient, and appropriately secure, and to provide inmates with a range of work and other self-improvement programs that will help them lead a crime-free lifestyle upon their return to the community. The post-release success of offenders is as important to public safety as their incarceration.

We are looking to educate or enhnace the health and fitness knowledge our diverse inmate population that is comprised from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Most of our inmates either were not afforded the opportunity to recieve this information or had made poor decisions that led to not seeking a healthy lifestyle.
