Volunteer Patient Companion needed for 6 to 12 months
Opportunity Description: Provide companionship to patients who are on Hospice. Work as part of our team to provide companionship to the patient and to make sure the patient is comfortable. Volunteers read, visit, go on walks, run short errands, sing, and write letters for their patients. Volunteers can also visit patients with their pet or help with administration tasks in the office. Volunteers make their own schedule and training is free! Volunteers must give at least 4 hours per month.Volunteers must be dependable, compassionate, and at least eighteen years of age. Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation to see patients

Opportunity Description: Volunteer needed to provide respite care to home patients while their caregiver or loved one runs errands.Volunteers must be dependable, compassionate, and at least eighteen years of age. Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation to see patientsVolunteers must be available during the day as well as weekends.

Opportunity Description: Volunteers to call patients on Saturday and Sunday to see if there is an immediate healthcare need to be met by the on-call nurse.Volunteers must be dependable, compassionate, and at least eighteen years of age. Volunteers must have their own transportation to an Odyssey office or be able to use their personal phone from home.Volunteers needed for 2 hours on Saturday or Sunday.
