Liability Insurance (based on program/school requirements) Each RN volunteer will be reviewed individually. Current CPR Certification REQUIREMENTS: Familiar with medical/health center operations. Familiar with triage, charting (documentation), confidentiality, patients of various demographic backgrounds, laboratory and test result reports. Some experience scheduling tests and appointments. Phlebotomy helpful. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 10 Find Out More Volunteer Pharamcists needed for 6 to 12 months Opportunity Description: Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Ohio and be in good standing with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Must carry professional liability insurance. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have knowledge of prescription drugs and current pharmaceutical care model. Must possess good communication skills and be able to articulate drug information to physicians and patients. Be able to work with formulary concept and make suggestions for same. Must be reliable and able to function as a self-starter. JOB SUMMARY: Function on a volunteer basis as a dispensing pharmacist for the clinics of Reach Out of Montgomery County. Fill prescriptions written by clinic physicians, counsel patients on the proper use of their medication and maintain appropriate records as required by licensing and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with clinic physicians in choosing most appropriate cost effective pharmaceutical agents. Must be sensitive to the problems and needs of clinic patients when filling their prescriptions. Maintain adequate supply of medical records and forms (see medical record policy). 3. Effectively communicate eligibility requirements to walk-in clients. 4. Alert Executive Director and Clinical Supervisor of resident addresses outside of Montgomery County. 5. Accurately and efficiently enter patients into Reach Out Access Database. 6. Review chart forms for completeness of information. 7. Write legibly on forms requiring general patient information. 8. Numerically assign patient charts as the patients arrive to the clinic. 9. Complete patient sign in sheet as directed by Executive Director & Clinical Supervisor. 10. Maintain patient confidentiality. 11. Alert medical staff of patients requiring immediate attention. Total Number of Volunteers Needed: 8 Find Out More Volunteer Tranlator needed for 6 to 12 months Opportunity Description: Proficient in English and Spanish, able to translate effectively in both languages. Ability to clearly communicate directions and explanations given by the professionals to the patient. Ability to clearly communicate patient?s statements, questions and descriptions. Utilize basic knowledge of medical terms in both languages. JOB SUMMARY: Language support for Reach Out clinic clients. Assist the transfer of information between patients and Reach Out clinic volunteers when working with patients (clients) with limited English proficiency (Spanish). Ability to utilize medical dictionary and transfer medical terminology without placing personal interpretation into transfer of information. Volunteer for ?on call? hours through Reach Out administrative office.
