They provide an extra dimension of care and services to patients, empathy and assistance to families and visitors and support for staff. Each year over 800 volunteers - men, women, high school and college students - share their time and talents and make a difference. Some volunteers work five days a week, most volunteer one or two days a week and some assist at special events or respond to special needs. Volunteer opportunities are available at the Saint Francis Campus, the Mount Sinai Campus, The Rehabilitation Hospital of Connecticut and other sites that are part of the Saint Francis Care system.
