Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
We are servants who provide free care and assistance to those in need and act as advocates for systemic change. To carry out this mission, Share Our Selves (SOS), with the help of over 750 volunteers, we provide free medical and dental services to those in need in Orange County. Hours of Operation Emergency Services Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Medical Clinic Monday and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to noon By appointment only 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Walk in Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m. to noon Walk in 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Walk in First and Third Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. By appointment only Friday 8:00 a.m. to noon Walk in 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Walk in Patients arriving less than 45 minutes prior to the end of session may be asked to return for the next session. Dental Clinic By appointment only Applications for dental services are accepted the first Tuesday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Patients must apply in person. Patients are selected at random from a lottery and will be contacted for appointments as space becomes available. There is no dental service lottery in the month of July . Our Dental Clinic is the only comprehensive free dental clinic for adults in Orange County. All other clinics either charge a sliding scale or do not provide a full range of services.  The primary goal is to assist patients to preserve and maintain their natural permanent teeth whenever possible. To reach this goal, the Dental Clinic provides high quality emergency and preventive dental services Monday through Friday. The dental clinic offers hygiene, x-rays, fillings, extractions, dentures, and partials.  Many of these patients have never been to a dentist before; none have experienced routine dental care. They often come in pain from infections and are in need of extensive treatment. Our Medical Clinic is open 40 hours per week, providing care for approximately 150 patients per week. The Medical Clinic provides a walk-in clinic for children and adults five days a week, including evening hours. The 200 volunteer health professionals provide most treatment. These doctors include general practitioners, chiropractors, orthopedists, ophthalmologists, podiatrists, optometrists, and physical therapists. Local doctors, hospitals, labs, and other medical care facilities make themselves available to our patients at no charge for any services we are unable to provide. A pharmacy is available on site, as is a laboratory and an eye clinic providing eye examinations and glasses. The medical clinic also provides a CHRONIC CARE PROGRAM, treating patients with diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, asthma, and other conditions. These patients are in need of extensive and expensive regular medical care. At SOS, they receive diagnostic services, lab tests, medications, routine doctor visits, and patient education.
