The positions listed below are open from Monday-Sunday with a flexible schedule created by you. The only requirements needed to be a volunteer is that you attend one of the scheduled trainings and that at least do 4 hours a month.

Administrator: This volunteer will take down client contact information during the various off site open enrollment events. They do a pre-interview process to make sure that we meet the need of the client. This interviewee will ask questions about the purpose of their visit and make copies of any information needed for the appointment
Call Center Volunteer: They will answer phones in the Open Enrollment Call Center taking down client information and making note of the questions and concerns they have during the call.
Data Entry: The volunteer will enter in client information gather from the various open enrollment events on and off site in the department data based.
Educator/Counselor: This volunteer will go through an 8 hour intense training session with several 2-4 hour training session starting June 14-October1, 2012. These training will educate the volunteer about the basic elements of Medicare, the process of open enrollment (which is October 15-December 7, 2012), and how do Medicare presentations.
Marketer: The volunteer will attend health fairs; pass out information about Medicare, State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), and the service offered at the Jefferson County Office of Senior Citizen Services (OSCS). They will also update and interact with our twitter followers, post volunteer positions, and come up with creative ideas to Market the SHIP and OSCS services. They will work closely with the OSCS PR committee.
