Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
The Safe Haven Project is seeking volunteer Registered Nurses to join our team for the upcoming camp for kids with HIV to be held from April 14 - 20th on Marthas Vineyard. This vibrant and extremely fun activity is a popular volunteer destination for nurses from around the US. Licensing that is either from Mass or reciprocating state is need. Tasks include dispensation of medications per Doctor orders, basic care and oversight under the supervision of our Nursing Coordinator. Nurses are encouraged to interact with campers in games and other activities. Our hope is that our campers will enjoy their time with our nurses in this fun and informal setting which is often quite different from interactions in the clinical setting. We offer a very flexible schedule to meet your needs. You can volunteer from a day to the entire week. Housing and meals are provided. You will need to provide your own transportation to the island. We will be happy to provide you with information and suggestions.
