Current Volunteer Opportunities (Unpaid Positions)
Hospice Patient Care Volunteer needed for 3 to 6 months
Opportunity Description: Provide companionship to a patient and respite for patient’s caregivers. To do this, the volunteer typically makes friendly visits, reads to patients, runs errands, and sometimes prepares light meals. Many times the most important service that a volunteer offers is simply being there for the patient and care givers to listen, or to share quiet moments with a gentle touch or hug.

Patient Care Volunteers normally spend a minimum of two hours per month with their assigned patient. The maximum hours of volunteering that you do is only limited by the needs or tolerance of the patient.

The role of the Trinity Hospice Volunteer is to be a supportive, caring person. Volunteers are dedicated, loyal, and sensitive individuals who give of themselves to help ensure the mission of hospice care, and are considered an integral part of the hospice team!
