United Hospice is a part of UHS-Pruitt Corporation. United Hospice of Swainsboro has a fourteen county service area in south central georgia. The fourteen counties are: Emanuel, Johnson, Candler, Jenkins, Screven, Truetlen, Tattnall, Laurens, Bulloch, Toombs, Washington, Evans, Montgomery, Wheeler.
The Mission STatement for United Hospice is:
United Hospice is committed to providing quality holistic care for both terminally ill persons and their families. The terminally ill person will be treated pallatively to live comfortably as a physical, social and spiritual being while he or she approaches the end of life. Families will be assisted in understanding and providing the care needed during the illness and are supported after the death of their family member.
UHS-Pruitt and all of its services are Committed to Caring. At United Hospice we work together as a team to meet the needs of our patients. Our team consisits of Registered Nurses, LPNs, CNAs, Chaplains, Social Workers, and Volunteers.
Our volunteers are the heart of our program.
