The Wallace Medical Concern is a nonprofit clinic that provides urgent medical care to the low-income and uninsured population of the Portland metropolitan area. The clinic, which treats 2,000 patients a year, seeks local internists, family physicians and general practitioners to volunteer in-house, and ob-gyns and gastroenterologists to treat patients pro bono in their own offices. Time commitments are flexible.

Through the dedication of more than 230 volunteers WMC helps nearly 2,000 patients a year. We need: Doctors: dermatologists, podiatrists, internists, family practitioners, and gastroenterologists. Registered Nurses Medical Students: 3rd and 4th year OHSU medical students are eligible participate in our volunteer program. Spanish/English medical interpreters, certified or experienced. Volunteer Receptionists: At least intermediate Spanish required.
