One of the first Orange County trauma centers, we have been providing life-saving care in our community for more than 20 years. We were one of the first hospitals in the county to open a neonatal intensive care unit, helping to ensure high-level care for sick newborns. We were also among the first in Orange County to perform laparoscopic donor nephrectomy (for kidney transplants), a new kidney surgical technique that makes donating an organ easier. Western Medical Center Santa Ana continues to be among medical innovators in Orange County.
