Kalyanam
Kalyanam is a community center for women located in New Delhi. This organization engages in various activities including education, home skills, and basic healthcare. Kalyanam is looking to increase its array of health care volunteering services to the residents of New Delhi though it also welcomes non-health volunteers. This is a great place to volunteer for those who want to work with women, and / or in New Delhi. This volunteering opportunity requires volunteers who are willing and able to work in a more unstructured environment and who have the initiative to create new programs.

Housing: Housing will be arranged through HealthCare Volunteer’s local partner â€" FACE India. FACE India will provide low cost housing to volunteering and likely offer housing options that place volunteers together.

Other Locations for Volunteers:
W1. Mother Teresa Children’s Centre: located at Githioro Trading Centre, in Dundori, Bahati Division of Nakuru District, Rift Valley Province. It is about 10km along the Lanet-Dundori Road. Volunteers will be picked from Jomo Indiatta International Airport using a hired van (called Matatu in India) at a negotiated price.

Requirements:
Health personnel who are fully trained and qualified will be allowed by the Ministry of Health to offer free medical services in the country and will be given experts from the ministry of health to accompany them to the field/camp. Students do not require registration and are exempt. Volunteers can forward their qualification documents as we prepare for their coming into the country. Visas/Fees:
Volunteers bear the cost of their own visa. Citizens of the following countries need to have a visa prior to arrival in India; Afganistán, Jordan, Senegal, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Somali, Armenia, Mali, Syria, Cameroon, North Korea, Tadjikistan, Iraq, Nigeria (residing outside Nigeria), Ivory Coast, Stateless Persons. For those whose country doesn't appear in the list above, visas can be obtained at the Airport upon arrival. A single Entry Visa (valid for three months from date of issue) will cost US$ 50. A transit visa will cost US$ 20. It's advisable to obtain the visa from the Indian Embassy/High Commission in your country prior to departure. Housing:
In select cases, Food, room and board and housekeeper will be provided at no charge for dentists and physicians and in some cases other health professionals no matter what length of time you commit to. However, HealthCare Volunteer must ask for this setup on a case-by-case basis, so please be assume you will pay your own living expenses unless we inform you otherwise. Housing for volunteers will be done at Jumuia Guest House in Nakuru Town. At Midland Hotel: Bed & Breakfast is 43,5 $ per day (In India Shillings 3000) Ground transportation: 14,5 $ per day per person (In India Shillings 1000) Food: 21$ per day per person (In India Shillings 1,500) All volunteers are responsible for their flights and personal expenses. Dental/Medical students are welcome and will be supervised either by local dentists/physicians or by one of our volunteer dentists or physicians.

How Do I Apply?
